Ahmed’s extensive background in government affairs is highlighted by his role as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Environment and Energy in the Maldives from December 2018 to September 2023. His expertise in government relations and skills in managing complex issues have contributed significantly to the ministry’s operations.
Currently serving as the Founder of Rells App, a pioneering venture that he established in November 2019 in the Maldives, Ahmed has demonstrated his entrepreneurial acumen and innovative spirit. With a career that reflects a blend of leadership roles and entrepreneurial ventures, Ahmed has consistently made significant contributions to the business landscape.
Ahmed’s journey as an entrepreneur began in January 2014 when he founded Azar Holdings Pvt Ltd, showcasing his strategic vision and business leadership. His expertise in the travel industry became evident during his tenure as the Director of the Travel Department at Glow Tours & Trade Pvt Ltd from March 2011 to January 2013. Here, he excelled in promoting and marketing the business, managing budgets, and developing bespoke travel solutions to meet consumer demands.
With a keen interest in the leisure industry, Ahmed served as the Managing Director of Exotic Leisure Pvt Ltd from March 2007 to March 2012, where he honed his skills in strategic management and business development. His early career experiences also include roles at renowned organizations such as Epsilon Travels, Maldivian (Island Aviation Services Ltd), and Wataniya Telecom Maldives. In these roles, Ahmed showcased his dedication to customer service, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
